After Completion Of The ISGI Class and Fingerprinting, the next step is to create a MYPVL account with the DCCA and submit your Guard Employee Registration (GDE) application. To create a MYPVL account go to https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl/ and follow the instructions to create an account.

After creating the account, log back in, click on “My Applications” and then on “Apply for New License”. From the drop-down box select “Guard Employee Registration”.  Answer the application information, upload your Certificate of Instruction (PDF or JPEG), make payment and submit your GDE application.

Once your application is submitted, it generally takes the DCCA about 15-20 business days to process a completed application; but it may take more or less time. When your GDE-# (“guard card”) is issued the DCCA will email you a notice of licensure.
